Application process for Nurse First
Applications are currently open for our September 2012 cohort which will take place in Manchester.
To be eligible for the programme, you must be:
- Working outside an acute hospital and
- A healthcare professional who still delivers clinical care
You do not need to be a nurse and you could be a physiotherapist, dietician, pharmacist, social worker, GP or any other care professional. You also do not need to be working in the NHS and could be working in primary care, in the community, in a nursing or residential home, in a social enterprise, in a hospice, etc. If you are not sure whether or not you are eligible, please contact us to discuss this.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following qualities:
- Strong personal motivation and drive
- An ability to challenge the system and their own organisation
- Resilience and ability to learn as much through failure as through success
- Creative problem-solving skills
The recruitment process takes place in 2 steps. Candidates are asked to submit an application form by Thursday 31st May 2012.
All applicants will be notified by Wednesday 14th June 2012 whether they have been selected for interview or not. Short-listed candidates will then be invited to attend an interview day, taking place between the 22nd and 28th June 2012.
